J.L.

J.L. is a 2003 graduate of the Kim Dawson Conservatory for the Arts where he began writing and producing classical and contemporary stage productions for the KD Black Box Theater. His writing and directorial credits include the cosmic-psychological horror "Slip/Road", the post-apocalyptic drama "A Uniform Invention" and the neo-noir crime web-series "City Infernal: Redemption is Hell" adapted from Dante's Inferno and is also an accomplished voice actor. J.L. also wrote the remake for the Rack Focus Film Festival winning horror film "Nail Gun" and is the author of the cosmic-horror novella "The Beech Bay Chronicles". J.L. co-founded and has co-hosted, produced, directed and written the Week in Horror Podcast since 2019.

EUGENE

Eugene began his filmmaking career with his first VHS short film while still in high school. Afterwards, he spent four years in the United States Marine Corps where he developed the core values of honor, courage and commitment. Having completed his tour, Eugene graduated from The Art Institute of Dallas with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Digital Filmmaking and Video Production. His filmmaking experiences have seen him employed consistently in every role behind the camera, including Director of Photography, Camera Operator, Assistant/Unit Director and Cinematographer. He is best known for directing the short film "#Murder" in 2013, "Two Scoops" in 2016, the 2018 award-winning short "The Sacrifice" and the Rack Focus Film Festival winning remake of the horror film "Nail Gun". Eugene co-founded and has been a producer and co-host on the Week in Horror Podcast since 2019.

ALEX

Combining a love of horror films and the filmmaking business with an extensive background in set construction, stage carpentry and design and all manner of crew work, Alex established himself as the go-to when it comes to the backbone of filmmaking. Alex co-founded and has co-hosted the Week in Horror Podcast since 2019.

ANGELA

A triple-threat raised on the stage, Angela established herself early on as a recognized name in both local and regional theater. A 2004 graduate of the Kim Dawson Conservatory of the Art, Angela is known for her performances in "Weed Wolf" and "City Infernal: Redemption is Hell". She also teaches acting for stage and musicals. She has produced and edited the Week in Horror Podcast since 2019.

JOHNNY O.

An award-winning actor, director, editor, sound engineer, gaffer and producer, Johnny Ortega is best known for his Festival Selected documentary "Cracking the YouTube Code" and the Rack Focus Film Festival winning "Nail Gun". He is a graduate of Wesleyan University, majoring in English and minoring in Radio and Television. Having spent the majority of his career in performing arts and broadcast, he soon broke into filmmaking on a professional level founding the production company Insomniac Films. Johnny has been a producer and co-host on the Week in Horror Podcast since 2020.
